I've had a good January down here on my place. The 7 pt has been eluding me until a few evenings ago. I believe he's an older deer. Big body and good mass. I shot and dropped a doe an hour before dark. Right at dark I heard something coming down through the pines towards me. He finally showed up and I could just see well enough to make him out and make a good shot. Shot him at 10 steps and within a few yards of where that doe lay? I think she was hot. Loving this little Model 7 .260.

That's a goodun for sure, congrats.
I also love my little Mdl 7 in .260. It's a deer killin machine!

Congratulations! That's getting a lot of venison in one afternoon. I've always wanted a Model 7 but just never got around to buying one. The 260 is about a perfect chambering for it, I agree. Light and handy rifles are a lot more pleasant to hunt with for sure.
