Thought some of you guys/gals might like this project. My co-worker's family lives in Missouri. One of his cousins had a run in with a bear up there recently. After inquiring with MDC, he was brought up to speed about which bear it most likely was based on geographic location of encounter. Bottom line: MDC has trapped/snared/darted several bears and fitted them with GPS collars for tracking purposes and it is updated on the fly and plotted on Google maps for a great overview of the bears home range and where he/she was last located.

GPS collars on wild animals with live feed is cool stuff!! ;)
