Meat still good?

had about 3 lbs of deer that i was wanting to make into jerky. I put it in a wal mart bag and set it in the fridge til time to mess with it. forgot about it.Its been a week exactly so is the meat still okay or do i need to give it a toss? It was never frozen. Straight from the bone to the fridge.
