May Flies everywhere...

In a week or so when there are more and they are dying out, it is bow fishing time! I just shake the heck out of the trees and wait for the carp to come up to gulp them.

Strange , I remember fishing out of waverly and when the hatch was on you had lots of top water fun . Now here on Barkley we had a large hatch last week and I've yet to see a fish in them ? Has been that way for last several yeats ?

Not even a bluegill? Have you tried smacking the trees and knocking them in the water to see what happens? We fished out of Turkey Creek and occasionally Masons. Shady rocky banks always seemed best.

I went back over the next night with my fly rod and SLAYED them. Lots of small bass and bluegill. I was probably catching one every 30 seconds.
