Was off a couple days and got the crappie bug...did ok on those. Sitting in Missouri now, getting ready to dip into Arkansas for the week for White River fishing. First time for that. Looking forward to it. Hopefully is a good week.

19 browns today and 3 rainbows. Biggest two browns were 23.5" and 23". Most of them were 20-21 inches. Was tough...post front conditions, windy, COLD, and blue bird sky but we had a blast! Two more fishing days! Our guide Craig was awesome. We boated more fish than some of the other guides combined today.

Oh and a side note...Supreme boats are awesome. We fished out of the L60 model and if I can find a dealer near me to do a decent trade for my Tracker 190, I will do it in a heart beat. We were in some rough current and those boats take it like a champ and you can beach em anywhere. Perfect boat for deer hunting islands too.

You're getting a nice grade of fish!
Some of those browns have some brilliant color!
What are you catching them on?
They have had us using river rigs with frozen shad. They just had a massive shad kill a few weeks ago that has tapered off and the fish are still keyed in on the shad as they come down. I've never been here before but they say the river is about 6 feet higher than normal this time of year. Beautiful country!

Today was our last day out on the boats. It started bad for me...great for my wife. She put 8 browns and 2 rainbows in the boat. I had zip. I finally caught 2 little ones right before lunch and then...first drift after lunch, she boats a 25 incher followed by a 24. We moved spots and I finally caught a 20 incher and then the next cast...the White River magic happened to me. I hooked up with a fish that felt little at first. Me and the guide both didn't pay it any mind and I was just reeling it in no problem. He was fixing a shad on my wife's rig and then that fish jumped plum out of the water. You know it's good when the guide says "ohh $&!t"!!! And then throws down the rod he has in his hands. Haha. Nearly 10 minutes later, my trip maker and biggest brown was in the boat. 28" long! Didn't weigh it but guide said it was 8-9 lbs. I didn't care about weight...I was tickled!! Then the next cast...a 22 inch rainbow. This has been the best fishing trip I've been
