The last few minutes of buck season. Kind of sad and glad at the same time. Time to fire up the chainsaw.

Last sit of the year. I was thinking I might hunt some CWD unit this January, but I'm ready to relax a little and spend some more time with my wife. It was a good year, and I'm excited for next. It'll be time to start scouting in a few weeks.

I'll try to get some doe meat this week then it'll be fishing time. I'm happy with one decent 8 point this year and with the chances I had. I hope and pray I can still deer hunt this fall. Maybe I'll see one of those big boys I see many of you shoot but I'm running out of time I'm afraid. Lucky to still be able to hunt and have my brother as my hunting partner. I am blessed.

Grandson trying for redemption. He missed a really big deer last year out of this shooting house. Had several pics earlier in yr of him. He killed a good 4yr old from this spot 3 years ago, so could happen.

When he found out wind was SW, he told me where we were hunting this afternoon
