Checked the camera this afternoon and had this very small, spotted fawn picture. I don't usually see fawns this small around here in Late October. Must have been born this month.

The black thing in the picture is a water tank I built out of bulk containment pallet from work. The deer seem to love it. So do the Coons, Squirrels and Birds.

I wouldn't say that fawn was born this month. Fawns have a minimum age/growth requirement before they can lose their spots, and that is much longer than a month.

If seeing a spotted fawn in late October or even early November is an isolated observation, that's not necessarily a problem. However, numerous spotted fawns at this time would be the signs of a problem (in TN).

bsk, seems I remember something about ninety days and all spots should be gone. OR in my old age, am I senile and it was sixty days. NOT saying this for every single fawn, but in general.
