japanese beetles and okra

anybody have any tips on these pests. i usually use sevin to kill these by the wheelbarrow full but i wish there was a less detrimental way to ride them. okra is a big pollinator attractor so i dont like using sevin too much.

anybody got any poisonless tips?

I'm watching. They have shown up in my garden this week too. Is your okra flowering yet? Mine is only 6" tall. I wouldn't worry about sevin until it was wanting to flower.

nope havent shown up yet. i got going about 3 weeks late this year and my okry are about a foot tall. will keep an eye out. they usually dont show up here until its about waist high and blooming. those things can devour okra leaves in record time.

They were working on eating my buddy's blackberry bushes into the dirt a couple weeks ago. Keep an eye out.

I used worry free brand with pyrethrins as the active ingredient. Killed the snot out of them but not sure if I get any extended control out of it.
