In east TN Knoxville area that sells powder for shotgun reloaders?!?! Seems like everybody and their brother sells powder for the rifle shooters I'm having a heckuva time finding 20/28 or Promo.

Na. I could drive to bentons faster than I could be in JC. Was just hoping there was somewhere around k-ville.

buy in bulk online and pay the haz mat fee still cheaper than retail and you dont have to drive

DA has it right.

I call bulk a minimum of 5 pounds and preferably enough to carry you for a 2-year drought. Maximum is 40 pounds per order.

Link to best price but you pay sales tax.

Seems like there is a gun show every other week or so here in Knoxville. Guy named David that always sets up in back right corner of expo center or right in the middle at Chilhowee. Great selection and hard to beat his prices

Went to the gun show at chilhowee this past weekend. No one had any 20/28 or Promo. I asked every table that had powder. They all cater to the rifle reloader. Which is fine I reckon because that's what's selling. Just sucks for a shotgun shooter.

Sportsmans warehouse in Chattanooga has carried shotgun powder and shot in the past, but I don't know what they have in stock right now

Thanks. I go through Columbia SC pretty regularly and I checked last month at the SW there. They had none. But the one in Chatt may be different. I'm good on shot.

I would try Widener's in Johnson City before Mahoney's. I would call Mahoney's before driving up there as their powder selection has been slim for awhile. Widener's is mail order but you can go there on Thursdays and pick it up yourself which is cheaper than having powder shipped.

Someone told me a couple of weeks ago that Stan sold the business and they no longer offer pick up. Rumor as far as I know, just curious if anyone knows for sure?

Stan is a close friend of mine and he did sell. I didn't know the new owners stopped the pickup.

I believe it is a group of guys, I don't know them. Stan is working with them for the next few months to turn everything over.

Check with Loudon County Sportsman he normally has a good selection of power,

Is this place still open? The number listed does not work.
Powell Auction liquidated a big gun shop few months back. I am pretty sure it was Loudon County Sportsman
