Is there a season on these things? looking for something i can chase with my recurve any given time. I Wouldn't imagine there is but it never hurts to ask.

There is a season on them on public lands where they exist. No season on private land BUT you have to be on a landowners eradication form before you can hunt them.

There are places on North Cumberland WMA that are covered up with hogs. Only thing is all hunting is closed from March 1st until the almost the end of August, except for spring turkey season. Since archery equipment is legal for turkeys, you could kill one up there then.

Check out the New River Unit. You just drive by Brushy Mountain Prison and keep going for several miles. Rough country. A lot less traffic than the Caryville side.
