After hunting this morning, was going to take a few practice shots before heading out this afternoon.
Cocked the bow, but got called away. (You know what is going to happen.)
Forgot to load an arrow and fired. Destroyed string and cable.
No one (Gander, Basspro, etc.) seems to carry them in stock and I was taking a day off work tomorrow to hunt.
Anyone know of a shop in Middle TN that carries them?

Thanks for the lead, but no go at Poindexters.
Looks like FedEx is going to be getting some business from me.

I've been shooting this thing for 2 years and never had any problem. Heck, took 2 deer last weekend with it!
This just shows what a moment of inattention to detail will do.

Very true. I think it was year before last that I came out from a morning hunt, put my discharge bolt in and shot. The whole front end of the crossbow just fell off! The allen head screw in the front had backed out. I was lucky though, Poindexters had it fixed within the week. oh, they found a cracked limb too which was replaced under warranty.

You were lucky that's all that happened. I dry fired my quad 400 on my last shot of the day after sighting in a new scope and it blew my limbs up.

My new parts should be in tomorrow.
I went over the limbs very carefully and noticed one that looked a little funny, but don't know if it was like that before. I'll make sure the bow shop gives me the okay.
Fingers crossed!

I really like the New Archery Product NAP Spitfire in 125gr.
They make two, one says crossbow, but they are the exact same. Plus, the blades are replaceable.
For arrows, I use Barnett 22" Custom Carbon Headhunters. Academy Sports always seems to have a good supply of both.
And, to complete my setup, a Nikon Bolt XR scope.

With this setup, it is putting them within a 2" circle at 30yds.
