I saw 19 hens in a field Saturday morning in Hickman, not one poult.

5 days in the field for velvet hunt, didnt see a single poult. Betwern all my farms, saw 16 males that will be 2 yo or older next spring, and around 40 hens, but none of the hens had poults.

We had an above average hatch spring 2019, so next year should be fun on my farms. But 2021 is going to be abysmal.

Been seeing a good number of poults in SW TN, both on trail camera and in person.

I saw a big flock of hens with a couple dozen poults of various ages at the gun range. They ran off while I was getting set up but shortly they were back out calmly pecking around while bullets were wizzing just over their heads. It's always intrigued me how animals quickly discern apparent danger from real danger.
