Have yall had any experience with deer with tumors like this?

This guy has been around since last year. The way his rack is growing he appears healthy. Not sure what to think. He's not quite a shooter at meant for since I've got bigger and more mature deer. I wouldn't think the meat would be tainted but I'm not an expert. What do yall think?

Nope, never seen one like that. Guess I would have to just assess the meat when I was processing it.

I'm sure you can cut around the tumor. But he doesn't seem to be worse for wear.

I shot one years ago, game warden told me as long as it didn't go into the meat it was safe to eat

That could be a snake bite. We lost a few cows getting bit on the nose
