It's about that time of year to do some hack and squirt projects... What do y'all use to get rid of beech and maples?

I've been working a few TSI projects recently myself. I kill Maples with Tordon RTU ($12 / quart)and Beech with Arsenal (expensive)

That mix will kill about anything! Make sure you are wearing gloves and safety glasses when mixing Garlon 3A. It can cause eye damage.

BSK, what is your specific mix?

I use a mixture of three parts water to one part Garlon 3A. And for every gallon of that mixture, I add 6 fluid ounces of Arsenal. So for every three quarts water and one quart of Garlon 3A, add 6 ounces of Arsenal.

Hacks around the tree should come close to overlapping, and into each hack should be squirted 1 ml of the mixture (a Windex spray bottle works great--I measured the one I use and a full squirt is 2 ml, so half a squirt in each hack).
