Yea when I walked up they were on separate sides of the log. When the coon jumped to the other side to get away from me there was a pretty good fight lol. I was trying to get my phone out to video it But I wasn't quick enough

Congrats that's awesome! Back in the 80's, while trapping in KY I had the exact same thing happen. Caught a coon and bobcat in sets that were side by side. Both of mine were still alive also. Only time I have ever seen that till now. Congrats again, I'm sure that doesn't happen much!

Well that's something you don't see every day. Too bad you didn't have a camera set up over that set. I'm trying to visualize just how that played out. It's hard to imagine one would approach the set up with another animal already in a trap there, particularly 2 different species. I would think the coon was trapped first and the cat approached thinking about a meal... unless it was one of those farfetched relationships in nature where they were buddies that traveled together.
