GPS apps?

I have been using my Garmin Etrex 30 for a few years now and have been happy with it.
Believe it or not I have only just this year broken down and purchased a smartphone.
Now I would like to find out what is the best app for scouting my hunting areas.
I have read in Field and Stream about the onX hunt app and it sounds pretty good.
Anybody got an opinion on which app I should be using?
I hunt public land almost exclusively in East tn.

I have used a lot of them and if u have iPhone , Topo maps + is very nice if u are willing to pay small fee, you can get shaded relief Topo and sat view, tons of features

I like the MotionX it uses google earth images in about 4 different ways. You can pay like $4.99 for the full version and save hundreds of waypoints and map tracks. It's also able to overlay the highways so you can see where you actually are live time.

Huntstand works great for me. You can even use it without cell service once you set it up. Mark anything on your map and it's free!
