I'm looking for aquatic plantings that would help draw ducks. Something that can be planted in standing water with no water level control.

I'm no expert but I think rice is the only option given your conditions. I've heard it's tough to grow in a lot of places though, maybe try and get your hands on some sort of wild rice variety? I don't know, I'm out over my skis here.

I know you said no water control but if the water level fluctuates any at all, naturally during the summer, then you can broadcast some jap millet on any of the exposed mud.

I don't believe rice will sprout in standing water. I wouldn't move aquatic veg unless it's a pond that doesn't over flow. Some of that stuff can be really aggressive and nobody wants to be "that guy".

Millet and wheat along the waterline would be easy enough.

I would plant cover like willows, buck brush.
We've got plenty of that. I think food would be the best draw.
we're gonna try and sow rice and wild rice as well as plant water celery in the spring. Willow oaks would be first choice if it didn't take so long for them to produce acorns.
