Fighting Updykes are somewhere around a touchdown favorite at home. I think MSU has been a little over rated all year. Hope I'm wrong but I'm afraid MSU is going down. Lots of good games this weekend. Hope Miami shows up and knocks off the Criminoles.

I don't think MSU is overrated. They're undefeated in the SEC. As much as I hate them, that's impressive.

I think they lose by 10 this weekend.

I agree if you are undefeated in the SEC you deserve to be #1. I just haven't seen them as the best team in the country. Maybe over rated was the wrong words. They deserve the ranking until they lose.

gator-n-bucks statistics comparison link says State has a slight edge...favored to win by 50.8%

However I don't they have the Pass defense capable of shutting down Cooper. He demands a double-team, that leaves White Jones or even Yeldon open.

The 8-8.5 pt betting line seems a bit generous though against the #1 team in the Nation.

Cooper didnt look like himself against LSU. What happened to him. He was snatching surface to air missiles from the sky against everybody until then. He dropped several passes under 10 yds at LSU.

You always pick the favored team and play it safe, there are upsets you know,I've been right on some this year

State simply refuses to tackle or catch balls in their hands. Looks like the Fighting Updykes will close it out.

Close low scoring game but I don't think State can defend Cooper especially if they really try to play him 1 on 1.

Alabama wins it in the 4th
AL 26
St. 21

Could be pretty close!

Didn't one of our fine members tell us several... Several Times how Bama would lose three games this year and Miss St. Would be one of those games. I will not call anybody out but it looks like Bama "Wrangled" their way to a win... :D

I remember something like that. :)

Too bad it wasn't played in MS.

If you're going to be the best, you gotta win wherever the schedule takes you. That's one reason I wasn't a big fan of Fulmer.

So why did Bama lose to Ole Miss in Oxford? Miss. St was undefeated up until Bama.

Can't win them all every year. Well, unless you have FSU's schedule and play one or two games a year, including bowl games.

I agree. I cringe at the thought of the Criminoles going undefeated again and winning back to back championships, and hearing how Rapeis has never lost a game while carrying himself with class and dignity. Luckily, they won't make it out of the playoff the way they struggle every game with weak ACC competition.

But Alabama is so good. Why can't they win them all?

That question reads like a little kid asking if we're there yet.

They're good enough to have a good chunk of college football fans wishing they'd lose every game.

That answer reads like a Bama fan that thinks he actually has something to do with their success on the field.

If Bama were as good as the team and the fans think they are, then they should have beaten Ole Miss. They probably should have played Arkansas a little better too. They should have hung 60 on UT since they are so good and we are so bad. I didn't see any of that happen. Take away Amari Cooper and they've got more than one loss.

If you think that all Alabama fans think that, you'd be wrong. I've seen quite a few say they think this is Saban's worst team since 2009. I can't argue with that. They have the ability to be better than they are, but they don't play like it. No consistency.

Take Cooper away? Take Dobbs away and the vols lose out with Peterman. Winston gone and FSU loses probably four. Sims gone at Bama and they lose three to four. Oregon loses Mariota and they're middle of the pack. I could keep going but I think you get my point.
