Estrous

Do any of you use doe estrous, gland scent, or deer urine, etc. and if so what are your experiences w mature deer? Has it put any mature deer on your wall, that you know for sure?...

Stopped using them when I realize how many deer commercial scents were scaring away!

Not either of the deer on my wall or the others that I have killed have been attracted by anything but their natural movement and my careful hunting skills(AKA dumb luck on half).

Use them when it's really windy, or just doesn't feel like a good morning to see something.

Standing estrous or Buck bomb i have had very good success with them. But you can kill a deer just about any time natural or with scents

The first deer I shot came on a string to some Tinks I had put on my boots for the hike in. I hadn't even made it to the top of my hill, took a break, turned around and he came to 8 yards with his nose on the ground. I shot him with my Marlin 30/30 from the hip he was so close. Every deer I've killed since then hasn't seemed to notice. I still use them because I feel one buck may just choose to follow his nose.

i killed a nice 10 pointer that came in with his nose n the air and smelling my Code Blue trail. Other than that, I have saw deer while using scents but don't know that it was because of the scents.
