I've been seeing a little chasing. Some evidence of bucks fighting on camera. I called a young buck in a couple of times last weekend. Temp will drop a little in the next few days. I'm thinking about breaking it out this weekend. Seems like I normally use it a little later but I'm feeling it. What's the opinion of the more experienced guys?

I "freshened" up a scrape back on the Friday before Juvi wknd. Sat of Juvi, I had a hell of a buck standing in the scrape.... 20 yrds from the blind..... where my daughter was suppose to be....

boy you talking about almost throwing up when I got that pic from my cell camera...

Daughter decided she didn't want to go at 8pm on the Friday. I sulked around all wknd...

This sounds like a story we should hear.
Well I will tell you then.
Funny story
I've always hunt in a ghilliie suit 90% of the time unless my son comes with me then I don't. 2 years ago I went out a 4 days after opening day of muzzleloader season so I grab my gear and rifle and put the 3 little bottles in my left pocket well for some unknown reason one of the bottles leak out on the way to the woods and I was not happy about it know I have doe pee on me o well I said to myself and went on.
Around 0730 to 0800 I heard noise behind me I turned my head around and lo and behold a 6 point was on top of me it scared me to death.
Spoke Him and he bolted out of there.
Yep I'm done with doe pee.
Ha ha

Several does here were without their fawns earlier in the week and have now picked them back up. Watched a 2.5 year old 7 and doe yesterday afternoon in lockstep. She did not try to run off and he was not chasing, she never got more than 5 yards away from him. Around here, the west central part of the state, the primary rut is probably past peak.
