Early Signing Day tomorrow for Recruits

Lol I have a feeling you Gator fans will have a little more to celebrate than us ole Vol fans. I may be surprised. I read yesterday where one of our 4* recruits had torn his ACL for the second time and missed his senior season of high school. I cant imagine banging around with guys bigger, stronger, and older than him is going to help much.

Should get two surprise commits tomorrow at 11:30... One was a ex Vol (Trey Dean) and the other is currently committed elsewhere. :tu:

TN will be fortunate to have be ranked above 40 when it's all said and done.

Now, if they can flip Bama's #1 linebacker target, he should be worth about 20 spots all by himself :D !

I am not confident of a great class this year, but I think down the road should be one of the best recruiting groups in the country.

Van Jefferson last night from Ole Miss and Noah Banks just now. Should get two more surprise commits to go along with all of the other early signees

UGA looks like it will have a good day tomorrow, especially if a couple of 5 star linemen commit. But they still have to be coached up

Emory Jones makes Gator fans forget about Corral. This is what Mullen was telling him how he didn't fir HIS system. Emory does. Flipped from Ohio State

4* safety Trey Dean a Gator. Figured JP could have kept him at TN. Good get for us... With Harris likely going to the NFL this helps.

Vols signed 4* OL Jerome Carvin also.
"four-star offensive tackle, the guy stands at 6'4″ 305 pounds. He is the No. 19 ranked offensive lineman nationally on Rivals and the No. 8 ranked player in the state of Tennessee."

jeremy banks RB 6-2 210 4*...pruitt likes the saban type backs
"A four-star running back on Rivals, the guy is the No. 9 ranked player in the state and the No. 16 ranked player overall at his position."

"Standing at 6'2″ 210 pounds, this makes for two years in a row the Vols got a major commit from an in-state running back. And Banks is a great pickup."

"His commitment alone pushed the Vols close to the Top 50 on Rivals again, and you have to figure Carvin's commitment will move them up even further. What's clear is that Pruitt is finally making his impact on the Tennessee football recruiting class."

"Neither of these guys would have signed with the Vols if it were not for Pruitt."

He came with TNs DB coach that nobody has mentioned... Just saying.... :poke:

DB play is one of our worst areas the last few years so....... :stir:

Lol so now former TN coachs are good since they switched to UF and brought a recruit with him. We traded Warren for Rumph. Yea well.

Warren is alright tho. :tu:

A few 5 stars (5 of them) and a bunch of 4 stars for UGA
UGA probably has the East won for the next 2 years atleast.

Maybe by then Mullen and UF can step up & challenge them....maybe.

My vols may have figured out how to beat Vandy & KY again by then.....maybe.

Something about chickens and eggs comes to mind here. Players still have to be coached, and still have to develop, and still have to execute. Nothing was won by recruiting alone, and the ebbs and flows of 18-22 year old kids makes for interesting dynamics from year to year.

Yep. GA loses a lot after this year. Having so many seniors has definitely been a factor in their success this year. Next year will show how good the staff is at coaching.
