So finally got my seed germinated with that much needed rain. Woke up this morning to a frost. What's this gonna do to my seed? Will the ground temp protect the roots? Or should I be ready to top sow with wheat?

If your deer like the peas as much as mine do, they'll eat them all as soon as they sprout. I sure would love to get a field of Austrian Peas sometime but so far it has been nothing but frustration. As soon as the deer find them, they are all gone.

The longest process in this is root establishment. When that is complete and the stuff gets 1-4 inches, it will explode and a very fast rate. Mine is in this stage at about 3 inches. Need some sunshine days now and temps around 70...It is looking good!

I've tried peas before. I rarely see a bloom come springtime. It's all gone except for the ones scattered around the garden.
