Dropping like flies!

My Facebook feed is littered with some really really big bucks from this morning.
One guy killed a 166" 8 point. A flipping 8 point!!!!!!!
I'm regretting not going today. I just didn't have my gear prepared. I'll regroup and try next weekend. Used this morning for scouting and pulled my cards. Didn't find any oaks dropping but did find some good rubs. I reworked an old community scrape from last year and used BSK's secret sauce in it. Maybe I'll have some good pics over it again. I did find one small scrape in a log road.

there's a 169" 8 point shoulder mount in Walmart in Spring Hill.

I just passed a good one only because I agreed not to shoot him earlier this summer. 10 pt with junk

Yea I don't say I'll pass him all summer to shoot him on opening day...there are other good ones around, and the rut will bring all kinds of bucks

He was a good one but not a monster. I'd have drilled a hole in him had he been anywhere else though. When I saw him come thru the bushes I thought, here's a buck, yea a good one, is it him?......yea that's him, oh well... Lol

Fleet fox is my next door neighbor and has a lot of history with this buck, and I would not have found the place where I live now (and hunt) had he not referred me to it so I owe it to him not to shoot that deer, it's just another deer to me. That deer would be my biggest by far, but there's a good chance of bigger bucks showing up during the rut

Very cool catman that you keep your word, not so many in this world today that would do that especially with a deer like that.

Pretty slow here, not even getting many tc pics. Did pass a spike and fair sized doe yesterday morning.

Setterman, that is a very, very nice 8! Should score right at or just a tad under 140"

I've held the rack of a 170" 8 ptr in my hands. I bet that rack with skull plate easily weighed over 10lbs. 8" bases, insane mass, and tine length to boot. Killed in Illinois.

X2. Considering there's only been a hand full of Booner 8s in 100 years. Even though it isn't a Booner it's close enough. I see why people would have doubt. Like to see it myself

You're a good man to not shoot that buck. I could probably do it if I said, I wouldn't shoot it, but man, that'd be tough.

Officially scored at 145 3/8" Zach was closest, the reason I posted it is because 8's only get so big imo and that one is the biggest I've seen/killed.
