I'm not sure what else you could do, after all it is your property and there is a leash law in TN.

I'd consider applying a fluorescent orange stripe down the middle of their backs before releasing. Irresponsible pet owners make their dogs someone else's problem.

Collared recognized dogs get released. If I have some handy Ill tie some surveyors ribbon to their collar. One dog got a bag of garbage he was eating tied to his collar ! (he got in the snare I set up to catch the "raccoon" that was getting into our trash.

Other dogs without a collar are a judgement call. Wild ferals get the coyote treatment.
Others either get released or sent to the pound.
If you have caught 4 dogs this season, you either have a bunch of locals who let their dogs run wild, or garbage humans dumping their dogs in the country.

I have caught dogs 5 and 6 miles from any houses with collers on them. I release them and haven't seen them anymore
