Unless it someone gets it scored and it sets a record you don't really hear much about the big ones. A lot of people don't want to tell people about killing big deer on leases or public lands. Even if you own the land and people know you kill big deer you will have people hunting every property line or sneaking on your property.

Depends on how you define "big"!
Big doe? Big buck?

I personally killed one of the biggest yearling bucks ever killed in TN.
It field dressed 154 lbs and was a yearling.
Multiple biologists checked it out, all confirmed it was absolutely a yearling buck.
Some fat kids love cake. That buck probably loved corn, acorns and not walking around much.

Think he was actually just "born that way" with a gigantic body,
kinda like Shaquille O'Neal was a big baby, giant child, who turned into a 7-foot-plus monster.

I've often wondered if that yearling buck might have turned into a 300-lb-plus TN deer had it lived to 3 1/2 or older. But large body does not mean large antlers. He could have had below average antlers. Just will never know.
