You mean blind calling. Go for it. Most on here don't advise it but I've called in quite a few bucks that I may never have seen otherwise. I say this but I can't really say 100% that they wouldn't have made their way in any way but when they come in looking for the buck that was grunting I believe the call was what got them there. I also believe that calling pre-rut into the beginning of the rut probably is the best time but I've had limited success later. I've heard some knock down drag out fights going on late into the season and I figure if they're still that aggressive it should work then as well.
