Drove from Lexington to Cross Plains this past Saturday. I have never seen as many dead deer on 40 as I did then. What gives? Never saw that many even during the rut!

Seems a tad early, but I usually see a lot of dead deer right before the fawning process, as does are searching for the best areas to pop out and raise their little ones.
maybe saw a total of 10 dead driving from Dickson to Kansas City area a couple of days ago.
But that's a long haul though.

Got to wonder if the salt used to de-ice I-40 could have something to do with this.
Have noticed several around my area as well past couple weeks.
