Does everyone crimp their .223 rounds?

I loaded 100 tonight and they seemed to have seated tight. I was just wondering if the crimping round was necessary. I've never skipped it but I've heard people say they do.

Thoughts?

Not a one, ever. Spent a lot of time verifying recoil or heavy-handed handling could cause a bullet to seat deeper. Could never prove the concept.

Uneven neck tension is one of the causes of inaccurate rounds.

I have shot an awful lot of max load 300 WinMag rounds and that recoil does not result in deeper seated bullets.

I crimp most at least slightly, that way I know neck tension is somewhat even on all rounds. With autoloaders the bullet may jump (not go deeper) and bump up against the lands and grooves causing a higher than normal pressure spike. Never experienced anything like that, but I have read stories from some that have.
