Been waiting for some free time to spend on a project. I think it's going to turn out nice.

That looks nice. I have one Karl Feldkamp put together for me ~14 years ago. I had it built on a Borden Rimrock action, Rock 5R barrel and a McMillan Sako Varmint stock. It is a fun setup but one I don't get out often enough.

My older brother has a 40x that was a 222 Rem Magnum. It shot well but was pretty finicky. He sent it to Gordy Gritters and had the factory barrel rechambered in 223 AI and had another bolt and barrel done in 6.5-284 while it was there.
Setup either way it shoots lights out.

This one is similar as it's a 700 single shot solid bottom action. I didn't have tooling to ream the raceway so I sent it out for a .705" diameter raceway to go with the .7035" PT&G bolt. It's very slick. Brux 12 twist sendero/varmint taper barrel. Action originally came from PT&G with their bolt with 308 face. Manners carbon fiber stock. If I can snag a decent deal on a carbon wrapped blank, this would make a better package for deer hunting.
