First and foremost, I hate the trigger mechanism. It has an "L" shaped piece that has to be pushed backwards in order to push up to start the blades to working. It digs into the side of my finger right at the knuckle and is just uncomfortable to use. I see some folks online have talked about modifying it to make it better, I need to investigate that and see what they did. The batteries don't hold up as long as I think they should, I filleted 30 or so bluegill and small bass, and 5 catfish from 2-10 pounds on 1 battery charge, and it was really weak finishing up. It was a gift from my wife to replace the corded one I finally killed last year, so I'd never say anything to her about it, but if I thought I could get away with it, I'd buy a bubba knife and swap it out and never say a word, but with those being red, I'd get caught. So I'll use this one until I kill it and then buy something else. I had high hopes for it since my corded Rapala was as good as it was, but not so.
