My boy is wanting to fish some small club night tournaments this year. We have a pontoon, but the Livewell is really small and does not areate (just fills) Has anyone ever converted a cooler into a Livewell? And do you think a 48 quart would be big enough for 5 bass? Tips or ideas appreciated.

Yes, did it for my son to fish in the fishing club tournament at UT one year when he was there. He was fishing out of a 14 ft Jon boat and had to have a live well for the fish. We used one of the bilge pumps with hose to run water into a cooler and had one of the livewell areator pumps to keep it aerated. He came in second by the way. Tickled us both.

Thee are quite a few youtube videos that show how to do that very thing.
I fished a small bass club years ago and most of us did it. They work just fine.
