Leftover licenses for deer, elk, pronghorn and turkey go on sale August 7 at 9:00 a.m. They will be available for purchase at license agents, through the 1(800) 244-5613 phone line, mail-order (PDF) and DOW offices on the 7th. Starting August 8th, sales will also be available online through the Total Licensing System.

Leftover licenses are limited licenses which are leftover after the primary application and leftover drawing process.
Over-the-Counter Cap Licenses

General over-the-counter (OTC) big game licenses, as well as OTC bear licenses with caps are available for purchase now by internet, telephone (1-800-244-5613), license agents and Division of Wildlife offices.
Cap licenses are sold for archery, muzzleloading and rifle bear, as well as some units for rifle elk. The PE hunt codes stand for prairie chicken, which don�t go on sale until September 1.
