If anyone has ever scored from this area and you have stories or pics, please post em. The deer seem to be like ghosts in this area.

Have not hunted that area in several years. Last time I was there the hogs had the ground plowed.
Have heard of some decent deer from there but as SSlater said, it is hard hunting and the deer are spread out pretty good.

Several years ago I was hunting South Cherokee and found an old logging Rd at the bottom of this long very steep ridge, put a stand about 25 yds above the logging Rd, this was the last year muzzleloader was either sex, and I shot a big doe, rounded up the guys and it took a little over 3 hours to drag it out uphill all the way, told the guys I'll never do that again, well the very next weekend from the same stand I shot a big hog, another 3hr drag, now they want to know where I'm hunting before they go with me.
