Cicadas...... the silver lining

I just found my first ones in the yard today. Don't give up hope yet

After 5 days up there, I found them to be spotty.... some areas you couldn't hear a gobble 250y away there were so many, and a mile down the road there were none. I actually saw a hen fly up into a tree at noon to feast off them high up. I also found the turkeys were moving to the areas that had a high concentration.

I've seen them around Cookeville but nothing on the west side of Putnam... not yet anyways

Doing a job at on the Putnam jail addition this week. Yesterday heard them for the first time
In the big yard maple trees down the street.

We are flat overrun with them. Especially around pear trees, its nuts

They are THICK around the pear trees for sure!
