I am in need for some help my fellow TND members! My hunting crew and I need a non-electric powered heater for our cabin. Nothing to large for the total sq ft of the room is about 300-400 ft and is a single room.

Anybody have experience with an camping or cabin heaters? It appears that propane is our best option. Interested to read ya'lls feedback.

Here is what I use. Mounts on wall run hose thru floor to propane tank. Adjustable thermostat. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/ ... _200395466

Well its close to that one anyway. They make one that is require to be fed off a 50lb cylinder or higher. But mine is only required to have a 20lb cylinder. Read the fine print before you buy one.

The Big Buddy works great in a 20 ft camper at has a fan built in and we never turn it above low in 17 degree weather

I have a 12' x 12 outbuilding where I lift weights. I bought the buddy heater a few weeks ago. Have only had to use it twice but it definitely knocks the chill off. It was $79.99 from Tractor Supply. For the bigger area I'd go for the big buddy. I probably should have bought it myself but so far so good.

We have several, all three buddies, a tank top, forced air propane and a forced air kerosene.

For use in a cabin situation we generally use a tank top model. In a camper I like the big buddy due to the oxygen sensor.
