Buck Hit

Just shot my first crossbow buck, louden county. Think the hit was a tad high at 20 yards and unable to find bolt. Backed out, giving him a sec and then going to try to find blood in the wet leaves.

Follow direction he went. The arc path and arrow follows make it seem like it hit higher than it did because the only thing you can see is the nock. The head will be below where you last saw the nock, so maybe not high at all. Hard to say without being there, but if you think you hit just a touch high you might not have.

Good luck! If this was in the Loudon area, let me know if you can't find him. Willing to come help, and have a dog that's not formally trained for tracking but does a pretty good job. Also have the contact info for tracking dog in Cleveland, and a drone guy in Athens.
