Marlin lever gun. Found it at a Cabela's in Idaho, can anyone tell me what to expect other than a pretty stout recoil. I am wanting to go back to old school iron sights, and play like I'm a kid again. I paid $779, I am a happy camper and needed to tell someone other than my pretty little wife!!

I have a marlin 450 I did not think a lever gun could shoot that good but on a bench it will shoot 1 inch or less group. I don't think it kicks much more than my 30-06. Hope you like it.

Get a Williams receiver sight and purhase the twilight aperture. It's the best low light iron sight system for hunting you could ask for. You won't regret it!

Thank you gentlemen.
I will definitely research the low light sight, I missed a decent buck last year at "dusky" dark that should have been a slam dunk. I was cocky and went for a head shot at 25 yards, scared him silly though.
