I don't know why but melting some lead and pouring it into molds is fun. Heading down to Alabama for a little fishing Thurs and Fri and needed some 1oz jigs . Poured up 100 tonight which should last me a few years

Those are some heavy jigs, those for bass? I only make some smaller ones but for panfish/crappie, but have been eyeballing some more molds, so may pickup one for bigger jigs.
We drift with the current below wheeler dam. Smallmouth, largemouth, hybrid, whites and rockfish. Takes that much weight to get down near the bottom and stay there drifting in the current
Very cool.
Got a couple buddies going down there next week. Last time I tried it I got up under one of those power-line crossings and birds crapped all over my boat.
