Bobcat help

Trap check yesterday AM and one of my DP traps was missing. Looked around and saw the cable leading under a pile of leaves. Pulled it and a half eaten mangled coon was under the leaves still in the DP trap !

So Im thinking bobcat killed the coon and cached the rest under a pile of leaves. I made 2 foot hold sets on either side of the leaves (reburied the coon). Also added a few cedar twigs and branches to help direct the cat to the pan.

Anything else I should be doing? I need to catch this cat before lambing season starts !

Sounds good to me. I wouldn't call myself a cat trapper but I have caught several. I've had similar thing happen and found they seem to return to these food caches they make pretty frequently. Should be an easy catch.

You should have him in a day or 2. They ain't hard to catch

Got Him ! big tom. Leaving the set for a few more days to see if he has a girlfriend.
