I am going to purchase my son a ruger 22 pistol but his concern is that the 22 ammo jams too frequently.....what is the best 22 ammo that wont break the bank that can be shot reliably without misfiring etc.....i usually buy the 500 bricks of federal and i can tell you they mis fire alot!!!....but i do because of price. about 20 bucks per brick.

I've never had a problem out of the winchester or federal boxes of 500 but CCI makes high quality 22 ammo, its just alittle more expensive

I agree. I shoot CCI Mini-Mags through my Buckmark and the rifle. Excellent accuracy through both and I've never had them jam in the Buckmark. Cabela's has the 500 round packs for about $35 last I checked.

I'm with you on the Federal brick packs. They shoot alright from the rifle, but I get one or two misfires or jams per magazine through the Buckmark.
