A Kansas man no longer has the Kansas state white crappie record after an x-ray revealed the presence of ball bearings.

Just another issue caused by the "industry" that has formed around what we love. Everyone knows a record catch can lead to all sorts of free gear, sponsorships, and likely even some financial boosts if you play the opportunity right. Thus causing people to do stuff like this.

And how many times have tournament anglers been caught cheating? Stuffing weights in fish, keeping fish in an underwater cage overnight. I even saw a story about anglers clipping a half inch off the tail of bass because tournament entries couldn't be above a certain length. It's a shame how the industry has caused people to treat our resources.
