Bacon Wrapped water chestnuts

Wrap a 1/4 piece of bacon around one water chestnut and hold together with a toothpick. Grill over charcoal until bacon is done.

Serve as an appetizer

Dip in soy sauce.

They are awesome.

For some reason when I did it the chestnuts were awful crunchy.
Seems like when they cooled off a little they got better.

Try it the same way except...cook in the oven till the bacon's almost done then cover with BBQ sauce. Thats good to.
