Grilled or smoked? I want to grill one like that (don't have smoker) but I don't know if the bacon and meat would finish at same time.

I do a medium rare bacon wrapped beef tenderloin all the time.

I sear the tenderloin and let it cool down.

I then wrap tenderloin in bacon and cook in skillet until about half done
