Took the 300 WinMag out yesterday for some more testing. The 68.5 gr load, lower left, seems to be worthy of another look, a 1/2" vertical group. My previous best load, upper right, using 65.5 gr netted a .640 group last time out, but this time I had one round delay fire, just a split second. I'll check that one out again as well.

Just from those results I like the 65 grain group and I think you can tune that load with seating depths and neck tension.

I've already been chastised for even loading that low of a charge on another site LOL I explained that I started low, per book starting charge, and worked up to 69.0, book max, for the 220s. But apparently more seasoned loaders know to begin at around 67 gr, with a Max of 68.5 listed as book max. First time I've been criticized for following book guidelines. :D

Btw, 65.5 was the .640 group last time, but I had the delayed fire on one of those in that group this time. I'll be testing that load again as well, but will prefer the higher charge for velocity since these will be target loads at distance. Hoping I can tune that 68.5 gr load with seating depth.
