Food Plots Anyone know what plant this is?

An app called "Seek" says it could be related to golden saxifrages but it is missing the yellow part from what I can tell. Whatever it is, it's perennial and not something we planted, but the deer are wearing it out. Growing in a hayfield.

Maybe except there are no yellow buttercups in it. Maybe that part only grows in spring? I'll have to see what it looks like in April, I guess.

I'm 99% sure it's buttercup. It grows like crazy on these warm days in oct-nov but it won't put on flowers until spring. I'd hit it with 2-4D ester when we have a warm snap or first thing in the spring. That is the stage where you want to spray it.

Yes, buttercup. I have trouble with in in 1 particular plot. My deer don't seem to like it, but turkeys love the tiny yellow flowers it puts on in the spring.
