There is a big herd of Bison about 3/4 mile from where I live. 7 or 8 of them are White.
I wonder about hunting them everyday while I drive by them.

Got the email today that I was not one of the 25 selected to continue on. No surprise there.
I wish they had included how many people applied.

I've raised one or 2 of them in the past and have a new one out in the pasture with the cows at the moment.. Got her at auction from the LBL herd a couple of months ago. Nothing more American than a bison!

Honestly there would be no sport in hunting them. Most all of them, even totally wild ones will just stand there and let you walk within easy shooting distance. Then when you pop one, the others might jump and spin around a bit, then they'll just stand there and go about their business...

Good eat'n however :) America's original red meat!

The ones I have seen in Utah, at the Book Cliffs, are a bit touchy. One whiff, or sight of you, and they take off in a cloud of dust. I guess they've had some unfortunate experiences. :D
