Any special permit …..

Required for a tennessee national refuge. Gonna stop by the duck
River unit and take my son fishing. Besides normal fishing licenses (he has a lifetime sportsman license) is there any special permits or license needed? State lake permit? This is new to

on second thought they may not require it for fishing. i always buy one though to help the refuge out. i know they require it for hunting.

id call the headquarters and make sure.

np. there is a subheadwuarters at the gate you can ask them just to make sure. id also ask about any bald eagle nests. they close some areas off until they fledge.

in the impoundments, its the stumps that will break a motor but thats where the crappie are as well as the cypress trees. weve had a drought here in the last couple of years so i dont know what the levels will be like. a pair of waders might come in handy.
