I watched a video of a guy fishing bream beds at Reelfoot and he slipped up and showed his map for a split second. You better believe I stopped it, screenshot it, and zoomed in. Those bream bed there every year I bet.
yeah like @RUGER said theyll return every year until they dont. bluegill typically take around 7 years to mature and spawn (around an 1" per year. when too many of the largest spawners are taken in a colony then theyll become stunted.

crappie and shellcracker usually take about 3 years to mature. shellcracker are not as prolific and the reason for creel limits on them. crappie on the other hand has a high mortality rate and are lucky to live beyond 5-6 years. the 12" length limit in MS years ago was mostly about protecting the smaller spawners for more production. those big crappie that folks throw back thinking it helps the population will more than likely be dead come winter die off.
