Good looking dog looks like it's been around for awhile. I have been hunting a young cur female this year After many years of hunting hounds (coon/squirrel dogs) I'm really impressed with how she handles. I Never have to carry a lead when hunting with her

Ol' Scooter is just 5yr. old, he's still got a lot of hunt left in him!...Scooter's handling is one of the many things that makes him the dog he is...He aint nothing but a big baby that flat knows how to tree a squirrel/coon and how to make it look easy!

Sadie hunts a little wider at night than day time. Is that typical of most curs?

yep thats pretty common.

Scooter hunts out about 200yds unless squirrels aren't stirring if not then he threads on in to about 450yds if needed....of a night he hunts about 300-400yds, if he hits a coon he will go where the coon goes whether its 300 or 1000yds.....everyone brags about dogs going 500 or 600yds to tree a squirrel, but I'll gladly take a 70yd tree over that any day.

Thanks...that 12oz sirloin 3 nights a week keeps him pretty slick...jus kiddin, sportmix keeps him slick!lol
