Messing around with a potential very short range load (50yds of less) and tried the Hornady 190gr Sub-X, going 1020fps.
Fired one into two jugs of water, 17" total. This dropped out the back end. Quite happy with the results.

Try Maker Bullets (180 or 200 grain) REX bullets....you'll be impressed. The bullets almost triple in diameter after opening like a talon and tumble like crazy going through the target. They shoot very well form my Remington 700 SPS, check out the zero target was two separate 3-round groups: In order: low left, low right, followed by 5 rounds zeroed at 100 yards.

It will take 5 or more gal. water jugs to catch the bullet fired at 1040 fps. This combo anchored this buck within a few steps... Four other deer never knew what happened and continued eating acorns as this buck fell. Never forget that shot placement is super important in any subsonic load.

You should also look at the Gorilla line of ammo. Their subsonic expanding is awesome. I don't remember what they call it.
